U-10 Space Coast Cup Champions

The U-10 Crusaders were named the Space Coast Cup Champions in dramatic fashion.  Losing 1-0 with two minutes left in the game, Brayden Miller scored the tying goal forcing a penalty kick shootout. Goalkeeper Ryan Bierwagon made the first PK save then led the team to a 5-4 win.

Coach Mike Menard

We want to thank Coach Menard, who has been holding training sessions on Sunday evenings for the Crusaders.  Coach Menard is currently the head coach of the boys’ soccer team at Pine Ridge High School.  In his tenure he has won two District Titles and made a Sweet 16 and Elite 8 appearance in the FHSAA State Tournament.  One of the original founders of the Deltona Youth Soccer Club, Menard has been a mentor and coach to thousands of players around the country.  He holds a Brazilian Certificate as well as an Advanced National Diploma from the NSCAA and a “B” License from USSF.  We are very excited and fortunate to have his experience and expertise on the field with us.  Coach Menard was the club coach of Coach Korkus, and the high school coach of Coach Alexander, Coach Coello, Dr. McPhearson, and Coach Robinson.
